My first ideas.
My first idea:
I could create a website for my sisters business. I would need to create a page with the business contact and I would need a page with all the designs linked to a page about the design. I have a basic ideas of what the website will look like and I know I can adapted and change my ideas.
My second idea:
I could create a music video for a song. However this may be a hard idea to do as we could go into lockdown again at any moment. This would mess up plans of filming outside or filming with a friend.
My third idea:
I could create an album cover for a friend. It could have the friend or the friend and his band present in the cover or it could be artwork. It could also be a collage/artwork like the Beatles album cover for revolver.
I feel that the idea I will most likely chose is my first idea. This is because anything could change due to covid-19 and we would have to work remote again. If we do have to work remote again I would be able to carry on with my website so I feel it maybe the safest option. I also have permission from my sister to create a website.
Project concept.
My aims of this project is to make me learn new skills in web designing and by the end of this project I will have made a working website for a consumer. The resources I will need are pictures of the products, videos about/of the business and the logos.
My proposal:
I will make a website for my sisters business. The website will have a contact page, a Home page and an about page. I will also make a gallery with all the designs shown. This is also where you can press upon the design you like and it will take you to page talking and explaining about the design you have your eyes on. I would like to do this project as it will be good to learn more about web designing, I can develop new skills in web designing and I feel I can make what I have planned for the project.
My research:
My first part of research was looking at examples of clothing websites to see how they are set up and laid out. From these examples I have a basic idea where to put certain pages and what types of pages I need. From these screenshots I can also see the layout of websites
The second part of my basic research was the contact page. I found examples of this page as I have never made a website contact page before. However I know with the skills I have already learned I know I could easily make this page. From these examples I have a basic idea of what a contact page. Even though I know this will be an important page for a website, I can see it is not the biggest page to make. I can also see it has a couple of main elements to the page. Somewhere to email the sellers and a help section.
